AD Titans Update

Hello Everyone!

A warm welcome goes out to all of our new and existing members. I wanted to take just a few moments of your time to give some updates on the status of AD Titans.

We are experiencing a good, steady growth rate. There have been days that are phenomenally better than others, but that is to be had in all businesses. With the growth trend we are following, we are poised for a good long life. We are very excited with the direction AD Titans is heading.

It appears that several good-sized surf sites have recently had issues and have had to close. We are very much healthy as a business, and aren't experiencing any semblance of problems, aside from a lack of sleep ;) We are here for the long haul, and to further ensure that, let's get to my next point.

We have made several changes in the signup page dealing with security. As discussed on our forums, we are taking a proactive approach to people that would seek to abuse the system. We have implemented several additional layers of security that detect multiple occurences of IP addresses in both surfing and those used for signups. The same security implementation has also been applied to look for duplicate e-mail and e-gold account ID's, and prevent them from creating additional accounts using them. While this will not completely eradicate abusers of the system, it will certainly make it more difficult to circumvent the system. I have also had our programmer add in additional logging and notification provisions to look for patterns in failed login attempts. Just so everyone knows, we have already found and suspended several accounts that have been found to be abusing the system. Additional administrative controls and accounting have been added into the backend beyond these mentioned security implementations.

On a much lighter note, if you haven't found them already, we have BANNERS! We had to find a more reliable contractor to assist us with those. I think I drove them crazy with some of the ideas I had, and the various tweaks that were asked for. The finished product they provided is wonderful. They are working on some additional areas of the site for me - mainly to spruce the site up a little more.

I would like to invite everyone to take part in the forum that has been provided. You will find some excellent discussions there. If nothing else, go there and read the thread we have on personal security. We want everyone to be educated on ways to protect themselves not just within this industry, but on the web in general.

Another exciting topic is the outside advertising banners we are currently tweaking. We are finalizing getting everything automated for folks to submit rotating banners throughout the site. There has been a great deal of headway made, and are extremely happy with the progress thus far. We will make an announcement when it is fully operational and ready for everyone.

One last point... use the support system we have in place. The forum is not the place to ask for personal support issues.

There are plenty of other things we are working on in the background that aren't quite ready to be announced - as much as i'd love to ;) Go spend some time with your family, and stay tuned for future updates!

P.S. Not that I have heard of any so far, but we will NEVER send you an email requesting your AD Titans password, your e-gold account information, or your personal e-mail information. E-mails that purport to come from us ( or anyone for that matter) of that nature are people trying to scam or "Phish" for your information.
